Chilling With True Detective: Night Country

True Detective has returned for a fourth season, this time set in the smallish town of Ennis, Alaska, where Liz Danvers (Jodie Foster!) is the local police chief. We tell you what we thought of the new location and its quasi-supernatural elements. Then we get out our metaphorical machetes to hack through around a month’s worth of backlogged Ask EHG questions on such subjects as our favorite Game Times and the best non-talking TV dogs. We name the week’s Not Quite Winners and Losers; 15 Seconds Of Fame takes a turn for the weird; then we close up with an Extra Credit about the songs that deserve the chance for a Stranger Things/”Running Up That Hill”-esque resurrection.
