😘Thank you, dear listener, for being here. And since you ARE here: did you know that we very literally could not make this podcast if not for the support we receive on Patreon? It’s true: the ads you hear, even for national brands you know, make us negligible amounts of revenue. Without the Patreon, we would not still be here.

If you joined during our last campaign back in 2020, we’re so grateful you did and that you’ve remained. And we love making podcasts for you so much that we want to do EVEN MORE. So we’re making changes AND offering new stuff we hope will draw in listeners who still haven’t joined us on Patreon.

First, we’re sunsetting the $2 tier. If you’re on it, you’ll be grandfathered in (see how below), but from now on the pledge minimum is $5 a month.

Also: with suggestions that listeners like you have made on Twitter, Discord, and email, we’ve assembled a plan we’re very excited about. Let’s dig into it.

A Bendy, Flexible Second Show!

👯‍♀️We thought about how we wanted to offer more Podcast Stuff while keeping things relatively simple on Patreon and here’s where we landed: a second weekly Extra Hot Great episode for supporters of the show!

While we currently have Extra Extra Hot Great, our mini bonus episodes that drop on Fridays, what we are envisioning is a big juicy second episode that’ll drop in time for a weekend listen. It’ll be familiar but unique, mixing in your recent suggestions, putting a twist on some classics, and running some experiments, too.

So What’s The Show?

📺We’ll start with a lead topic. Maybe it’s a second big show of the week or a season-end revisit; perhaps something thematic like Bad Wigs Week, or maybe we got transported to September 1996 and go from there. We’ll then fold in Extra Extra Hot Great topics as extended Extra Credit-style segments. If you’re at the $2 level, you’ll still get the EEHG chunk on your feed. If you want the WHOLE Friday episode, just kick up that pledge.
