Force Us To Care About The Emmys

Last week it was announced that, since it’s ABC’s turn once again to air the Emmys this fall (which apparently it is still planning to do; time will tell), its host will be Jimmy Kimmel. This is pretty much the least surprising news imaginable, since ABC only has one late-night show and Kimmel is its headliner. But was there anyone the network could have announced that would have made any of us — three award-show agnostics — pencil in the ceremony this year?
