Willem Dafoe as Bobby Peru blowing off his own head in Wild At Heart. It was just a meaty sack barely held together by the stocking he wore for the heist.
The man has to have an impressive roster of death scenes to make the crucifixion of Jesus Christ come in second.

The entire movie of Dead Alive (i.e. Braindead in the U.K. and Australia), but especially the pre-title sequence where the natives have to cut off every part of his body that has a scratch from the Sumatran Rat-Monkey.

I loved the dance marathon episode too, despite all the Jess, but I think Lorelai’s storyline in “Raincoats” is stronger, and Lauren Graham really gets to shine.

I picked this episode to submit because I think most of the hallmarks of the show are represented well – the main romantic relationships, the inn, the townies, and, most importantly (as Tara and Joe noted), Lorelai’s and Rory’s relationship.

Happy to have it inducted! And Tara, I liked Digger too. Always thought he could keep up with Lorelai better than Luke. Plus, his apartment had that awesome ladies guest room.

Great GG episode for the canon–good choice, although learning that Lauren Graham and Scott Patterson were possibly in some sort of feud was very disappointing. My GG dreams were crushed a little.
Also, since y’all were talking about LG on Seinfeld, I thought I should mention that Scott Patterson was also in an episode of Seinfeld. I think he was the “sponge-worthy” boyfriend of Elaine. Maybe he picked up some cadence tips from George while he was there.

I went to one of those Cougar Town viewing parties and Busy Phillips was there and explained that she had to do her own makeup for this season because her makeup artist left her for another show [Happy Endings] and so she’s doing her own makeup. Not that this completely explains her fashion choices, but I think it kind of does.

I’d never heard that about Lauren Graham and Scott Patterson, but I’ve always believed that Luke and Lorelai had less on-screen chemistry than any other couple in the history of television, and I was constantly baffled by the show’s seeming belief that they were a viable couple.

I didn’t watch Gilmore Girls until a few years after it finished, when I got the DVDs, but I loved it most of the way through. Seasons 2 & 3 are the strongest, but there’s plenty of good stuff in the college years, especially Paris (and later her boyfriend Doyle, played by Danny Strong).

A worthy canon addition, but sidebar: other favorite “Gilmore” episodes? I have to go with 2.4 “The Road Trip to Harvard” in which the Gilmores get uncharacteristically mean at a quirky B&B, and 6.13 “Friday Night’s Alright For Fighting” which contains the massive screaming match between all four Gilmores in which 5 and a half seasons of tension and backstory all get brought up in about 8 minutes.

I totally agree with Dave about McNulty. I’m rewatching The Wire with my husband (a first time Wire watcher). We are halfway through the 4th season and I think the lack of McNulty is one of the reasons season 4 is my favorite.
